At Steve James Contracting, we are passionate about our environment "Kaitiakitanga" and are involved with local conservation projects through the Fiordland Conservation Trust.
We are also a patron of the Fiordland Trails Trust. We are very proud sponsors of the Antipodean Island Parakeets which can be visited at the Te Anau Bird Wildlife Sanctuary this is a short 40 minute return walk from our complex Radfords on the Lake, a fabulous family friendly place to visit. Ask us at Reception for current feeding times

- Investing in modern gear that has Ad Blue low emissions and low fuel consumption
- Waste oil from the machinery services is delivered to a local tourism company and they use the waste oil for underfloor heating in their workshop
- We own a farm and each year we allocate money to our “environment projects” we have in turn fenced waterways, ponds, river boundaries. This year we have made a man made pond and planted out in native plantings to encourage wildlife. We also have a 5 acre natural pond that has been entirely fenced off and is home to an abundance of wildlife.
